COOKED APP INC.

Effective: March 3, 2026
Last Updated: March 3, 2026

Cooked App Inc. ("Cooked," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Cooked mobile application and related services (the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. By using Cooked, you consent to the practices described herein.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

Account Information: When you create a Cooked account, we collect your display name, email address, profile photo (if provided), and authentication credentials. If you sign in through Apple, Google, or social media, we receive basic profile information as permitted by that service.
Argument Content: When you submit an argument for a verdict, we collect the text of your submission, the category or topic you select, and any supporting context you provide. This content is processed by artificial intelligence to generate verdicts.
Subscription & Payment: If you subscribe to Cooked Pro or Ultra, we collect billing information through Stripe. We do not directly store full credit card numbers, but retain a truncated card number, card type, expiration date, billing address, and transaction history.
Communications: When you contact support, submit feedback, or participate in surveys, we collect the content of those communications along with associated metadata.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Device & Usage: We automatically collect device type, OS version, unique identifiers, IP address, browser type, language preferences, time zone, and mobile network information.
Usage Analytics: We collect data about how you interact with the app—features used, arguments submitted, verdicts received, sharing activity, session duration, navigation paths, and timing of activity.
Log Data: Our servers record IP address, access times, pages/screens viewed, app crashes, and other system activity.

1.3 Third-Party Information

We may receive information from third-party services you connect to your account, advertising partners, analytics providers, and publicly available sources, including demographic data and interest information.

2. How We Use Your Information

Service Delivery: To operate the core Cooked experience—processing arguments through AI, generating verdicts, creating Cooked Certificates, and enabling sharing.
AI Processing: Argument text is sent to third-party AI providers (including Anthropic and OpenAI) to generate verdicts. We do not send personal identity information to AI providers—only argument text and metadata needed for verdict generation.
Personalization: To customize your experience with recommended verdict styles, suggested categories, and content tailored to your usage patterns.
Subscription Management: To process payments, manage your tier, enforce free-tier limits, and provide tier-appropriate features.
Communications: To send service-related notices, security alerts, and (with consent) promotional communications about new features.
Safety & Security: To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, spam, and policy violations, and to protect platform integrity.
Analytics: To analyze trends, measure feature adoption, diagnose issues, and improve the Cooked experience.
Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

AI Providers: Argument text is shared with AI providers to generate verdicts.
Payment Processors: Billing data is shared with Stripe to process payments.
Analytics Providers: Anonymized or pseudonymized usage data is shared with analytics services.
Cloud Infrastructure: Data is stored on cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Google Cloud.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, or governmental request, or to protect rights and safety.
Business Transfers: In mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales, information may be transferred. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Aggregated Data: De-identified, aggregated data may be shared for research, marketing, or analytics.

4. Data Retention

Account data: Retained until you delete your account. Upon deletion, personal information is removed or anonymized within 30 days.
Arguments & verdicts: Retained for the life of your account. Anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for improvement purposes.
Payment records: Retained for 7 years per financial regulations.
Log & analytics data: Retained up to 24 months, then aggregated or deleted.
